Christmas Lunch and Craft Workshop 2009

Our November meeting is always our last meeting of the year and so is it when we do something special - this year it excelled!

Margaret gave us a talk about Christmas and showed us some useful decorations that can also be gifts.  See the selection below

Beautifully decorated Christmas cakes, fancy table decorations - look again!  The cakes are actually towels rolled into shape and held with ribbon or braid and Christmas decorations complete the illusion.  The table decoration is an upturned glass over a Santa and topped with a Christmas arrangement comple with candle.  The fancy candles are just inexpensive ones decorated with ribbon and sequins and the baubles are spheres covered in beading.

It was time for us to have a go!

The lunch was lovely and it was a fitting end to a great day.

Many thanks to Margaret and 2nd Comber for their hospitality.
